My Dream Is to Race Dirt Bikes
There are, however, some obstacles that I need to overcome. With no guidance on how, that’s where you can help.
I grew up around motorcycles, from a wooden push bike to a pedal bike, and now a modern race bike. The only issue is that I don’t race. I have all the equipment and money to do this, so what’s the issue?
The issue is that my parents don’t think I am mentally equipped to participate in races. I have a long history of negative self-talk and suffer from ADHD and Autism. I don’t handle failure very well and often give up. So it’s not only a financial risk, but also a risk for our time and well-being. I go to therapy, however.
My idea is to take a class and learn one or two things from a session. Cheap or not, I will take these two points and work on them exclusively afterwards. To do this extension of training, we need to make time. Both of my parents work full and half-time jobs, and I have no medium to go to the track. The track is only 8 minutes away from our house! One solution I have thought of is to invest in a mobile away-from-home work toy-hauler for my dad, equipped with WiFi and a generator. The other solution is much more drastic: invest in a home-schooling online platform designed specifically for athletes to make more space for my training.
The next issue is the mentality of this life choice. I will commit to this, because I have committed to it. If this is all I have, I will come back to it. I only give up on half-commitments. A trend I have noticed over 15 years of existence.

And most importantly, a competent and resilient rider that is willing to learn. It’s okay if you don’t believe it, but you can achieve anything your willing to work for. And this message should be evidence that its something I'm willing to work for. (I just woke up 17 minutes ago, excuse the sloppy writing)
